PREFACE to Finite Element Analysis by Mircea Rades:
This textbook represents the Finite Element Analysis lecture course given to college students within the third yr on the Division of Engineering Sciences (now F.I.L.S.), English Stream, College Politehnica of Bucharest, since 1992.
It grew in time together with a course taught in Romanian to college students within the School of Transports, helped by the emergence of microcomputer networks and integration of the thing into mechanical engineering curricula.
