Object-oriented Analysis And Design
Covering the breadth of a broad topic, this book provides an in-depth background in object-oriented concepts, software development processes, UML, and multi-layered technologies. After covering some of the basic work that underlies OO software projects, the book follows the steps of a typical development project (Requirement Capture – Design – Specification & Test), which shows how an abstract problem is brought to a concrete solution. The book is programming language agnostic – so code is kept to a minimum to avoid details and bias in implementation details. A single case study running through the text provides a real-world example showing the development of an initial proposal for a mature system. Key artifacts such as requirements documents and detailed designs are included. For each aspect of the case study, there is an assignment that allows the reader to generate similar documents for a different system.
