Ahead to Electromagnetic Alkali Metal Pump Research

The work described herein was carried out underneath the sponsorship of the Nationwide Aeronautics and Area Administration underneath contract NAS 3-2543.

The aim was to find out the feasibility of making use of electromagnetic pumps to massive electrical energy vegetation for use aboard spacecraft.

Appropriate pump configurations have been chosen, design parameters have been established, and optimum designs have been really useful for the desired functions.

This closing report covers the preliminary section of the Electromagnetic Alkali Metal Research Program, extending from June 27, 1963 by means of August 3, 1964.
