PREFACE:

Alfred Steele, P.E., CIPE, authored the primary Engineered Plumbing Design ebook in 1977 and revised it in a 1982 second version. Al handed away, at age 82, in February, 1998, abandoning an everlasting work within the discipline of plumbing engineering. Together with his passing, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers had the foresight to buy all rights to the unique ebook. With this ebook, I’ve tried to hold on the place he left off.

Engineered Plumbing Design is a novel ebook in that the combination between hands-on sensible info and the scientific underpinnings of plumbing design is completely matched for the designer’s wants. In distinction, many books have been revealed on plumbing which might be full of quite a few illustrations of instruments, fittings, tables, and many others., which do little to help within the design of engineered plumbing methods and, particularly, they omit the scientific foundation wanted to make sound selections in designing plumbing methods.
